Guest post: Green kid gift guide

While I continue to enjoy an extended break from blogging, my lovely mama friend Gina has agreed to write a few guest posts for Harmless Home. Her first: This fabulous toddler Christmas wish list. Thanks Gina! Tune back in next week for Gina's story and her favorite nontoxic tip :)

My goal for Christmas shopping for my little one is to find toys that are not only safe but multipurpose and imaginative. I hope this list helps others as they are trying to find last-minute gifts that will bring joy and safety into their home.

1. Plan Toys Construction Set - So many different options for play and creativity: make cities, build tunnels, or design a tower and knock it down!

2. Plan Toys Fruits and Vegetables - We actually bought this set and I am so excited for many hours of cutting fruits and veggies and making pretend banana-mushroom soup.

3. Plan Toys Road Construction Set - Car toys are great. Especially paired with blocks.

4. Under the Nile Jill Doll - How beautiful is this doll that comes with a little change of clothes?

5. Corolle Pink Striped Doll - Or this precious baby doll that can help both boys and girls practice nurturing skills.

6. Bamboo Collection Cagola - This just looks fun for kids and adults.

7. Haba Click-Clack Ball Track - A little pricey but beautiful.

8. Plan Toys Banjo - Make music, dance, learn rhythm!

9. Sevi Mini Pull Along Toy - Pull along a giraffe, bunny or a zebra!

10. Haba Doctor's Medical Kit - For the 3-year-old who wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

11. Plan Toys My First Dollhouse - The Plan Toys dollhouse is award-winning and loved by parents and children alike. You can purchase people and furniture for every room and even outside.

Just remember, gifts shouldn’t be about quantity (though commercials might tell you otherwise) - Find quality gifts that are meaningful, will last, and can bring joy and safety into the home.

I've added all of Gina's fabulous finds to the toys section of the Harmless Home Amazon Shop. We have the fruit and veggies set and it has been a big hit in our house through every stage of development so far! And I might have to get that doctor's kit for my doctorphobic kid :)
